Our guesthouse is situated in Gikondo suburb, a peaceful residential area nestled on Rebero mountain.

Within Rebero, you’ll find some fantastic amenities, such as the renowned Platinum GYM, which is considered the premier fitness center in Kigali. Additionally, there are large retail shops like Sawa Citi Supermarket and Simba Supermarket.

If you’re fond of hiking and nature walks, a stroll towards Pégase Resort Inn next to Rubis petrol station will reward you with breathtaking views of Kigali City and beyond.

While exploring Rebero hill, I encourage you to visit Canal Olympia, the city’s top-notch movie theater and a popular live performance venue. For sports enthusiasts, Canal Olympia features indoor football pitches with high-quality synthetic turf. Moreover, there is a beautiful green park nearby, perfect for romantic walks and picnics. Within this park, you’ll find Ingabo Museum, a captivating art gallery.

It’s worth noting that Gikondo is home to the University of Rwanda, College of Business.

Gikondo’s proximity to the city center makes transportation easy. You can easily access Taxi motos (motorcycle), and the fare is an affordable $1 dollar per ride.

Our guesthouse is conveniently located next to Talking Through Art, an organization of talented women with disabilities who create exquisite baskets, which are highly sought-after in Rwanda. If you’re interested in community projects, I recommend visiting Nyamirambo Women Center. They specialize in crafting lovely bags, accessories, children’s clothing, and home decor items using African fabrics.

Although Gikondo is not known for its bustling nightlife, it does offer a variety of colorful bars where you can savor local cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere. Some popular choices include Rio de Gikondo, Chez Grill, and Chez Papa Guiness. On weekends, these venues often attract fans of the English Premier League.

For those seeking a more sophisticated dining experience, Gikondo boasts chic restaurants like Eagle View Lodge and 1,000 Hills Distillery. These establishments offer not only breathtaking views but also fantastic cocktails and the latter serves steaks on a sizzling volcanic rock.
