Yambi is a great little guesthouse perched in the rolling hills of Kigali that looks out over the city. I felt like home during my stay there. They have local art all throughout the property which gives it a nice charm. Breakfast is usually a buffet style and they chef is available to make any extras that you wish for. The rooms carryover that same artistic flare from the main home and are super comfortable. Most importantly, the staff is amazingly friendly and are happy to help you with any questions or needs you may have.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Kigali. Patrick and his staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and accommodating to our needs, starting with our timely pickup at the airport. The food was fabulous, the grounds beautiful and the African charm of the rooms left us feeling quite comfortable & content. Breakfast was gourmet-style! In the evening hours on the deck, we relished in many lively discussions with other international travelers as well as our host, Patrick. Our city tour guided by Patrick was as enlightening as it was enjoyable!

When I step in the place,I felt at home. It’s such a warming place and comfortable. The owner is there all the time and keeping that all under control. The breakfast is super fresh,many varieties and tasty! The place is super clean with hot water all the time!

Yambi is a lovely, warm place, a hidden treasure. My colleague found it online and when we got there the first thing said was “it looks just like the photos online”. Patrick and his team were very hospitable with WiFi, tea and Coffee readily available all day. The rooms are great with a helpful team on places to see and how to get about. Without a doubt it is a place I will go back to and recommend others to book.

Had a lovely stay at Yambi hotel. They had arranged an airport pickup for 15000 francs so was able to safely reach the hotel (its around 20 minutes drive from the airport). The lounge has TV where I was able to enjoy some World Cup matches. Right next to the living room there is a kitchen where you can cook or make tea. Breakfast was great and the chef went out of his way to make sure that you are served well. The hotel is in a primarily residential so you will have to get a Moto Taxi or bus to move around Kigali. There is a nice lawn in front where you can relax or eat if you want. I highly recommend Yambi to anyone planning to visit Kigali.

I’ve stayed at Yambi many times, mostly in transit. Patrick and his staff are always pleasant and helpful. This is the first time I stayed here for a 3 day working retreat with 6 colleagues, and it turned out to be a perfect spot. The veranda has comfortable work/lounge spaces and the kitchen staff prepared delicious buffets for us at lunch or dinner, according to our schedule. The chef is talented! My colleagues were also impressed with the service, food and nice atmosphere. It is easy to feel at home at Yambi.

Yambi is beautiful and homey, with special touches like a large outdoor patio, cool mix of music playing at all times, and a well-stocked library to help you relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful in terms of check-in and calling taxis/motos for us as needed. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is prepared fresh every morning and includes a great variety of fruit, breads, pancakes, and eggs- be sure to try the omelette. Overall a wonderful stay, and I wish I could have stayed longer!

Spacious, immaculately clean guesthouse with a great view down onto Kigali. All staff are super welcoming and happy to answer any questions or just have a chat. Our room was huge, with great wifi, nice view and big bathroom with a bathtub. The breakfast is ridiculously good – we had just filled up on all the delicious pastries and fruits only to be served a huge cooked breakfast! Great value for money!
